Rs130 billion meritorious scholarship program is education-friendly and a wonderful initiative of the Chief Minister


Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz announced the launch of a Rs130 billion Honehar scholarship program for students.
According to the spokesperson of the Education Department, more than 68,000 students have submitted applications to get meritorious scholarships. Students from 65 universities, 359 colleges, and 12 medical colleges have applied for the scholarship scheme.
He said that the Rs130 billion meritorious scholarship program is education-friendly and a wonderful initiative of the Chief Minister.
Under the scheme, scholarships will be given to students of 68 disciplines/subjects. According to the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, 30,000 students will get scholarships every year.
The spokesperson further said that the full tuition fee of students of undergraduate degree programs for four to five years will be paid in the scholarship scheme.
Citizens of Punjab who are below 22 years of age and have an income of less than Rs0.3 million will be able to benefit from the scholarship program.
