No release on Nov 24, claims Senator Vawda

Islamabad: Former federal minister and Senator Faisal Vawda on Tuesday said that nobody would be released on November 24 as there were no sincere individuals in the PTI to save its founder.

"Nothing is going to happen on November 24. PTI leadership is inactive and merely staging drama under the guise of protests to secure the release of the PTI founder," he told a presser in the federal capital.

Vawda claimed that party members were seeking relief for themselves by making deals at the PTI founder’s expense. "Whether 50,000 or five million people join the protest, it won't make a difference. The protest call for November 24 is merely a prelude to the indictment of the PTI founder scheduled for November 25," he said.

The senator also pointed to foreign intervention, echoing the PTI founder’s earlier claims of interference during the regime change. He said, "Suddenly, letters from Congress and other entities are raising concerns about human rights violations here. In my view, these so-called superpowers are not superpowers but 'zero powers' because they fail to see the atrocities in Palestine. We don’t interfere in their matters, and they shouldn’t in ours."

Expressing his concerns, the former minister added, "I hope the PTI does not exploit the party or profit while its founder remains in jail. The founder now has no one left to save him, as these people are only putting on a show and endangering the poor."

Vawda further highlighted internal issues within the PTI, stating, "There are factions in the party, and a specific group is exploiting the situation for monetary gains. They are creating difficulties for the PTI founder. Except for KP, the party leadership is nowhere to be found. This November 24 affair is nothing but a bubble that will burst. No sincere effort will be made to secure the founder's release; even MNAs and MPAs won't bring 50 people together for the cause."

Vawda told the media that things were moving swiftly for retired General Faiz Hamid.
