Martyrs include 10 security forces personnel and two FC personnel


Bannu: 12 soldiers were martyred during an encounter in which terrorists attacked a joint check post of security forces in Bannu.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Khawarij attempted to attack a joint check post in the Bannu area.
ISPR stated that six Khawarij were killed in an exchange of fire with the terrorists, while 12 security personnel were martyred in the suicide attack by Khawarij.
According to the Public Relations Department, the martyrs include 10 security forces personnel and two Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel.
According to the ISPR, security personnel foiled Khawarij’s attempt to enter the check post, after which they rammed a vehicle loaded with explosives into the wall of the post.
The Inter-Services Public Relations Department added that a part of the wall of the check post collapsed due to the suicide blast, and the adjacent infrastructure was damaged, resulting in 12 martyrs.
The ISPR further said that a clearance operation is underway in the area. The perpetrators of this heinous act will be brought to justice. The security forces and law enforcement agencies are determined to eradicate the scourge of terrorism.
According to the Public Relations Department, such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
The martyrs include Subedar Imran Ahmed Farooqi of Gujranwala, Havaldar Muhammad Javed of Sargodha, Naik Tahmas Ahmed of Abbottabad, and Naik Basit Farid of Haripur.
