The PTI founder will be presented in court today to seek his physical remand
Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi police have arrested the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder in connection with a case registered at the New Town police station.
According to a police spokesperson, the PTI founder had been taken into custody regarding the case registered at the New Town police station.
The PTI founder would be presented in court today to seek his physical remand, he added.
The spokesperson further mentioned that the case was registered under sections of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) for arson, stone-pelting, and resisting the police. It also includes charges related to damaging public property and other incidents.
The spokesperson added that an investigation team, led by the SSP Investigation, is interrogating the PTI founder and that he would be presented in court tomorrow to seek physical remand.
On November 20, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had granted the PTI founder bail in the Toshakhana 2.0 case, ordering his release against surety bonds of Rs1 million rupees and two guarantors.
