Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the blast site

Delhi: The Indian capital Delhi was rocked by a powerful blast.
According to Indian media, a terrifying explosion was heard in the Prashant Vihar, area of New Delhi. The explosion occurred near a cinema hall.
The sound of the explosion was heard far and wide. Police, fire brigade vehicles, and ambulances were seen heading towards the blast site.
Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the blast site. Citizens are being shifted to a safe place. No one, including the media, is allowed to go to the blast site.
The blast occurred just as former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was addressing a press conference in which he described Delhi as the most unsafe city.
More news and details about the explosion are awaited.
It is pertinent to note that a blast also took place in the Central Reserve Police Force school in the same area of Prashant Vihar last month, in which no one was injured, but the school building was destroyed.
