Pakistanis arrived in Islamabad from Beirut via a chartered plane


Islamabad: A special plane carrying 318 Pakistanis stranded in Syria has reached Pakistan.
The Pakistanis arrived in Islamabad from Beirut via a chartered plane, were welcomed by Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal and other government representatives, presented bouquets to the Pakistanis, and inquired about their well-being.
In view of the latest situation in Syria, Pakistanis were stranded there. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif contacted his Lebanese counterpart and paved the way for the return of Pakistanis.
Talking to the media, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that wherever a Pakistani is in the world, he will not be alone. “We are one nation, the sorrows, and joys of the nation are shared”. He showed gratitude to the Lebanese Prime Minister for the safe return of Pakistanis to their homeland.
