Quetta: A power blast has taken place on Quetta Airport Road on Thursday evening, leaving several injured, police and rescuers said.

The victims are being shifted to multiple hospitals. Police investigators and bomb disposal squad officials are at the crime scene to evaluate the intensity of the blast.

Police said the motive for the attack is not yet ascertained. Security forces including police cordoned off the entire area for investigation purpose.
An emergency has been declared at the Civil Hospital.
