New Delhi: India has achieved a grim milestone as country’s death toll from Covid-19 has exceeded 400,000.

According to Reuters, a death toll of more than 400,000 fatalities from the coronavirus has been recorded in India with the last 100,000 reported in 39 days only.
Half of the fatalities occurred during the second wave that swamped the health department and morgues. Experts are of the opinion that some fatalities might have been greatly overlooked.
India the world’s second most populated nation, has reported 853 deaths in the last 24 hours according to the health ministry data on Friday.
Since the breakout of the pandemic last year India recorded 30.45 million cases and happens to be the second most affected country after United States (US) which tops with 33 million cases.
