Collection of Hajj applications will start next week
Islamabad: The government has increased the quota and now 5,000 more pilgrims will be able to perform Hajj under the government scheme.
According to the media reports, the Ministry of Religious Affairs stated that the collection of Hajj applications will start next week. 81,500 Hajj applications have been received under the government scheme.
Applications will be received under the remaining quota of 5,000 under the government Hajj scheme. It has been decided not to hold a lottery for new Hajj applications. The collection of new applications will start next week.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Hajj tickets will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. A proposal to set five days for the collection of Hajj applications is under consideration.
