Pakistan’s six-member squad comprises two athletes, four officials
Lahore: Pakistan’s six-member squad for the Asian Winter Games to be held in China next month has been announced.
The 9th Asian Winter Games will be held in Harbin, China from February 7 to 14, with Pakistan’s six-member squad comprising two athletes and four officials.
Muhammad Karim will represent Pakistan in alpine skiing and Muhammad Shabbir in the cross-country event.
Muhammad Karim’s event will be held on February 8 and 9, and Shabbir’s event will continue from February 8 to 12.
According to the Pakistan Olympic Association, Secretary of the Winter Sports Federation, Air Commodore Ashar Jamil, has been appointed Chef de Mission, while Muhammad Abbas will be with the official squad as a coach and Asma Akram as a safeguard.
Rabia Nasir, an official from the Pakistani embassy in China, has been appointed as the athlete attaché.
