(Web Desk): Comedian and singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has indicated legal action against model, actress, and TV show host Mathira following a recent video controversy.
Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, who went viral on social media with his song "Bado Badi," seems to find himself embroiled in controversies from time to time. Recently, he appeared as a guest on Mathira's show after which a 'social media war' between the singer and the model has been ongoing.
After the show, the singer posted a video on his Instagram in which he was seen singing his famous song "Bado Badi." However, while singing, he approached the host and appeared to act romantically, even though Mathira seemed uncomfortable and tried to step back. Despite her awkward laughter and attempts to distance herself, he could be seen grabbing her arm and getting closer to her at times.
In response to the viral video, Mathira expressed her anger, stating that "filming the video in such a manner was a very bad act." The actress expressed her disappointment, saying the video had not been filmed by the show’s cameras but rather by Chahat Fateh Ali Khan from an odd angle.
Mathira mentioned that she always treats her guests with respect and engages with them in a polite manner, but she was deeply disappointed by Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s behavior. She further stated that being bold does not mean anyone can just approach and hug her.
On the other hand, the singer denied the allegations made by the actress, posting a video on Instagram in which he claimed, "On-screen, Mathira is speaking against me and accusing me, but the reality is quite the opposite." He claimed that the actress kept requesting him to appear on her show because its ratings were low.
Chahat Fateh Ali Khan also mentioned Mathira's playful jokes during the show and said, "After the show, she herself approached me to take pictures, placing her hand on my waist, and I told her we should take the picture from the front."
The singer claimed that Mathira had asked him to perform a song for the show, which he did, and she seemed to enjoy it. Referring to the allegations of harassment, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan found them absurd and revealed that he had contacted his lawyer.
The singer stated that he was preparing to take legal action against the actress and would be taking her to court.
Chahat Fateh Ali Khan further refuted the actress’s allegations, saying, "Mathira claimed that my team was with me during the show and the video was secretly recorded, but this is completely false. I always go alone to shows, and the video was also filmed by the show’s cameraman."
It is noteworthy that several videos of Chahat Fateh Ali Khan and Mathira have recently gone viral on social media, initially shared by the singer on his social media accounts and later reposted by other social media pages. Some of these videos show him trying to hug Mathira and act romantically with her.
