(Web Desk): A mild earthquake hit Sibi and nearby areas early Wednesday morning, shaking the region but causing no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The National Seismological Center in Islamabad said the quake struck at 1:37 am local time with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale. It occurred at a depth of 35 kilometers, with its epicenter located about 124 kilometers northeast of Sibi.
Sibi, in Balochistan, is known for frequent earthquakes due to its location in a seismically active area.
