Mark Zuckerberg teases upcoming Facebook transformation for 2025
Meta CEO says company will focus on completely transforming platform

(Web Desk): In a recent announcement, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed that significant changes are on the horizon for Facebook.
Speaking during the release of the company's fourth-quarter 2024 performance report, Zuckerberg hinted at plans to revamp the platform, aiming to restore the sense of greatness it once held. With over 3 billion users relying on Facebook daily, these upcoming transformations are set to reshape the social media experience, bringing a new chapter for the world's most widely used platform.
Mark Zuckerberg did not specify what changes are being made, but he mentioned, "This will be an exciting year as we bring back the old, best version of Facebook."
He hinted that over the next 12 months, the company will focus on completely transforming the platform.
According to Mark Zuckerberg, Meta may sacrifice short-term business results for the necessary changes to improve Facebook.
He also mentioned that in the past few years, they hadn’t focused enough on this, but now they will dedicate time to it.
When Mark Zuckerberg referred to bringing back the "old, best version" of Facebook, it doesn’t mean they will remove new features from the platform. In fact, he said that the time spent watching videos on Facebook has doubled over the past year, and it's expected that the viewing rate of Reels on Instagram and Facebook will continue to rise.
