Visit comes after PTI invited JUI-F to join hands in movement against current government


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday visited JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s home in Islamabad to check on his health. The visit was not only a health inquiry but also a chance for the two leaders to discuss important national and political issues.
This visit comes after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) invited JUI-F to join forces in a movement against the current government. PTI leaders, including Omar Ayub, Asad Qaiser, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Salman Akram Raja, and Akhunzada Hussain, met with Maulana Fazlur Rehman to extend the offer. They urged JUI-F to collaborate on efforts to oppose the government.
In response, Rehman told PTI leaders that his party would discuss the matter internally before making a decision. This could lead to a change in political alliances, with both parties considering the possibility of working together.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal and Attaullah Tarar.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman thanked the Prime Minister for his visit and expressed appreciation for his concern.
