CDF Maldivian forces, Bangladeshi Naval Chief meet Pakistani military leadership
Maldivian Chief of Defence Forces appreciated professionalism and dedication of Pakistan Army


Rawalpindi: The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) of the Maldives, Major General Ibrahim Hilmi, and Bangladesh Navy Chief Admiral Muhammad Nazm-ul-Hassan visited the General Headquarters Rawalpindi and met with Army Chief General Asim Munir.
The Pakistan Army spokesperson said that bilateral defense cooperation and regional security situation were discussed during the meeting. Matters of mutual interest were also discussed in detail in the meeting.
According to the ISPR, Army Chief Asim Munir and Maldivian Major General Ibrahim Hilmi expressed satisfaction over the enduring bonds of brotherhood and friendship between Pakistan and Maldives from both sides. Both emphasized their common perspective on important regional issues and reiterated the need to further expand cooperation.
The Pakistan Army spokesperson further said that the Maldivian Chief of Defence Forces appreciated the professionalism and dedication of the Pakistan Army.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the visit of Bangladesh Navy Chief Admiral Muhammad Nazm-ul-Hassan is the second high-level visit by the Bangladesh Armed Forces to Pakistan recently.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, the current regional security situation, and ways to enhance bilateral defense and security cooperation, stated ISPR.
Admiral Nazm-ul-Hassan appreciated Pakistan’s role in regional peace and stability, especially the holding of the multinational maritime exercise Aman 2025 and the Aman Dialogue. He also appreciated the efforts of Pakistan’s armed forces for peace and stability in the region.
Earlier, Bangladesh Naval Chief Admiral Hassan met the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza.
The meeting discussed the regional situation, mutual strategic interests, naval cooperation, and enhancing bilateral defense cooperation.
On arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, a well-dressed contingent of the three-armed forces presented a guard of honor to the distinguished guest.
It is pertinent to note that in January, the Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Bangladesh Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Qamar-ul-Hassan, visited Pakistan along with a delegation and held meetings with the military leadership.
Earlier, Hungarian Deputy Defense Minister Thomas Varga visited the Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi and met with CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad Mirza.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the changing regional situation and stressed the importance of exploring new opportunities for mutual cooperation between the two countries in various fields of defense and security, while acknowledging the sacrifices made by the Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism.
