Iftar providers will be able to add two additional items to basic menu

Madina: New rules have been introduced for those hosting iftar in the Masjid-e-Nabwi during Ramadan, and it will be mandatory to obtain a prior permit.
According to a report by Arab media, the General Authority for the Two Holy Mosques has introduced an online portal for individuals and organizations wishing to provide iftar.
Through this portal, those wishing to have the privilege of providing iftar to fasting people will be registered.
According to the media report, only companies and individuals approved by the authority will be allowed to provide iftar, the list of which will also be published.
According to the rules, iftar providers will be able to add two additional items to the basic menu.
According to Arab media, the basic items include dates, bread, yogurt, rolls, and water.
Additional items include nuts, cupcakes, pies, maamoul (a type of biscuit), cream, or stuffed dates.
The agency has asked service providers to update their data to ensure service delivery.
The Authority for the Two Holy Mosques says that registering those who provide the Iftar will help ensure that the Iftar is completed in an orderly and dignified manner.
Obtaining this data will provide an opportunity to improve the arrangements for Iftar, avoiding crowding, disorder, and wastage of food and drinks.
