While talking to media post hearing in Islamabad, Maryam Nawaz said that her party’s struggle would continue till Imran Khan led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) government is sent packing.

“We are not crazy to have deal with those against whom we are struggling and exactly why would we have a deal?” she asked.

The PML-N leader further said that government should not come in the way of people and its elected representatives.

“Those who would come in the way of elected representatives should be ready to face dangerous consequences,” she warned.

Responding to a question, she said that Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif represented herself and PML-N in Swat rally.

“PML-N is the strongest party in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and my party has given me the responsibility to lead Kashmir elections. PML-N would win for sure if transparent elections are held,” she said adding that government should not even try to rig elections.

Criticizing the government over prolonged load shedding, Maryam said that earlier they were criticizing former premier Nawaz Sharif for producing more than required electricity.

“They have been exposed in front of people,” she said refe3rring to PTI government.

Earlier, in the Avenfield reference, appeals against the sentence of Maryam Nawaz and Capt (Retd) Safdar were heard by a division bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) comprising Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiani.

Court has separated NAB appeals in Avenfield reference and has ordered to begin proceedings on Avenfield appeals from July 15 while hearing of case adjourned till July 15.

On the other hand, NAB appeal against Nawaz Sharif's acquittal in flagship reference has also been fixed for hearing on July 28.

In the Azizia reference, Nawaz Sharif's appeal to increase his sentence has also been fixed for hearing on July 28.
