Mayo Hospital MS orders inquiry into cause of lift's collapse


Lahore: A lift in the orthopedic ward of Mayo Hospital in Lahore collapsed today, leaving at least 8 people injured, including two who sustained bone fractures. The lift had only been inaugurated a few days ago.
According to reports, the accident occurred when the lift, recently opened for use, fell, causing significant injuries to those inside. The injured individuals were quickly transferred to the emergency department of the hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.
Dr. Faisal, the Medical Superintendent of Mayo Hospital, confirmed that two of the victims would be admitted for further treatment, while the others are expected to be discharged after receiving necessary care.
In light of the incident, Dr. Faisal has ordered an immediate inquiry into the cause of the lift's collapse. He also mentioned that the administration had only recently inaugurated the lift, which is now under investigation to determine the cause of the malfunction.
