WhatsApp to launch widget for direct conversations with Meta AI
This enhancement will streamline interactions by providing direct access to Meta AI

(Web Desk): Meta-owned WhatsApp is working on a new widget feature designed to give users quicker access to its Meta AI chatbot. The upcoming update will allow users to initiate conversations directly from their Home Screen, eliminating the need to search for the chat within the app. This enhancement, reported by WABetaInfo, will streamline interactions by providing direct access to Meta AI.
In a bid to ensure consistency across platforms, WhatsApp plans to extend the widget feature to iOS users in the future as well. The widget includes three key buttons, each offering a shortcut to a core function of the chatbot. The first button lets users instantly ask a question to Meta AI, speeding up the process of receiving responses. The second shortcut enables users to send photos directly to Meta AI for enhanced interactions. The third button is for voice chat mode, allowing users to engage with the chatbot using their voice, offering a hands-free way to communicate.
This feature is aimed at improving user convenience and providing a more seamless experience with Meta AI, making it faster and easier to access the chatbot’s full range of capabilities.
