JUI's Maulana Hamidul Haq among five martyred in suicide attack at Nowshera Mosque
According to police, blast occurred in main hall of mosque after Friday prayers

Nowshera: A suicide blast at the Jamia Mosque of Darul Uloom Haqqania in Akora Khattak, Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulted in the martyrdom of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (S) leader Maulana Hamidul Haq along with four other individuals, and 20 others were injured.
According to Rescue 1122, the rescue control room received the report of the explosion at the Haqqania seminary in Akora Khattak, and upon receiving the information, rescue teams with six ambulances, medical teams, and fire teams arrived at the site.
The statement mentioned that 20 people were injured, several of whom were in critical condition. KP IG Zulfiqar Hameed stated that the attack was targeted, and 3 to 4 people were martyred, with Maulana Hamid ul Haq being the intended target.
After the blast, the police cordoned off the area, and according to DPO Nowshera Abdul Rasheed, the explosion was a suicide attack. Police confirmed that the blast occurred in the main hall of the mosque after Friday prayers. Following the explosion, emergency protocols were activated in hospitals in Nowshera and three major hospitals in Peshawar.
