(Web Desk): The documentary film “No Other Land”, made about the Israeli atrocities inflicted on Palestinians, has won the world’s most prestigious award, the Oscar.

According to the news agency Reuters, the documentary, created by Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham and Palestinian activist Basel Adra, defeated five other films.

The film has already been shown at various international film festivals, including the Berlin Film Festival, and has won other global accolades.

“No Other Land” is based on the Israeli military's actions in Gaza, including demolishing Palestinian homes, evicting them from their land, and other Israeli atrocities.

The real footage shown in the film was recorded by Basel Adra and his two Palestinian friends, Hamdan Bilal and Raheel Shaw, with the help of Israeli Jewish journalist Yuval Abraham.

The film also shows Israeli soldiers demolishing Basel Adra's house and depicts the various hardships he faces. In the film, Israeli journalists meet Palestinian youths who are shocked to learn that a Jewish Israeli is helping them.

During the Oscar ceremony, the filmmakers briefly spoke and emphasized the need for a political and peaceful resolution to the Palestine conflict.

In his speech, young Palestinian filmmaker Basel Adra stated that he and his people are killed on their own land, their homes are destroyed, they are displaced, and they are subjected to inhumane treatment.

He mentioned that just two months ago, he became a father and his wish is that his daughter does not face the same struggles.

During the ceremony, Israeli director Yuval Abraham acknowledged that they both live on the same land, but their lives are worlds apart. He lives under a peaceful civil government, while his Palestinian brothers live under military oppression.

The Israeli director also called for an end to the attacks on Gaza and the release of Israeli prisoners.

After the Oscar win for the joint film by the Palestinian and Israeli directors, artists from around the world expressed their best wishes for them.
