US delays tariffs on Canada, Mexico for 1 month

Washington: The United States has postponed the implementation of tariffs on Canadian and Mexican products for a month.

According to a foreign news agency, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order to postpone the implementation of tariffs until April 2.

President Trump issued this executive order after talks with the President of Mexico and the administration's discussions with Canadian officials.

US President Trump, while talking to the media, said that tariffs on Mexico and Canada have been postponed until April 2. April 2 will be an important day in American history. Canada and India impose the highest taxes on our products.

Trump added that he has talked to Hamas about the release of hostages. They must release all hostages held in Gaza. Gaza can be run well, no one paid attention in the past.

In addition, Trump stated that he gave billions of dollars to help Ukraine. He wants a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine soon. He has excellent relations with the Chinese president, is interested in TikTok, and hopes that things will be resolved with China.

The US president said that Afghanistan suffered due to the wrong policy of the Joe Biden administration. He wants a trade agreement with Saudi Arabia and Russia, and countries that are not spending adequately on their armies do not deserve defense.

On the other hand, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that all retaliatory measures in Canada will remain in place until the US completely withdraws its tariffs.

It is pertinent to note that the US President announced last month to impose a 25 percent tariff on Mexico and Canada and a 10 percent tariff on China.

After which Canada also announced a retaliatory 25 percent tariff on the US.

The 25 percent tariff on Canada and Mexico by the US began to be implemented on March 4, but now it has been postponed for a month.
