Sania Nishtar resigns due to her job with an international organization in Geneva

Islamabad: Senate Chairman Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani has accepted the resignation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Sania Nishtar.
The Senate Secretariat has declared Sania Nishtar’s seat vacant and informed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) about the matter.
Earlier, Senate Chairman Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani had accepted the resignation of PTI leader Sania Nishtar, after which the Senate seat was declared vacant.
It is worth noting that PTI Senator Sania Nishtar resigned from the upper house of the Parliament on October 30, 2024.
Senator Sania Nishtar resigned due to her job with an international organization in Geneva and sent her resignation to the Senate Secretariat, which has now been approved.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s special assistant, Sania Nishtar, was elected as a senator from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2021.
