Bank account used by the accused has already been seized


Islamabad: The most wanted human trafficker involved in the Libyan boat accident last month has been arrested.
According to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the accused was identified as Amir Hussain, who was arrested in the Kurram district.
The FIA spokesperson said that the arrested accused used to send innocent citizens to Europe via sea. The FIA in Kohat wanted the accused in the February 2025 boat accident.
According to the spokesperson, the accused Amir Hussain collected Rs3.7 million to send the victim Nusrat Hussain to Europe. The accused, with the connivance of other accomplices, tried to send the victim citizens to Italy via Colombia.
The FIA spokesperson stated that the accused’s accomplices Munir Hussain and Ahmed Aslam, Shah Faisal and Wajid Ali are running the network from the UAE, Libya, and Italy.
According to the spokesperson, the arrested accused Amir Hussain also received huge amounts of money from other victims of the boat accident. The bank account used by the accused has already been seized. Contact is being made with Interpol to arrest other accused of the gang from abroad. A crackdown is underway against the elements involved in the boat accidents.
It is pertinent to note that on February 5, a migrant boat accident occurred in Libya, resulting in the death of 16 Pakistanis.
