Appeals for exemption from appearance were filed by PTI leaders Zartaj Gul, Alia Hamza, and Kanwal Shozab


Islamabad: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad has extended the bail of several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders in the November 26 protest cases until May 5.
Judge Abul Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain of the ATC Islamabad heard the pre-arrest bail applications of several PTI leaders in the cases registered on the November 26 protest.
PTI leaders Shehryar Afridi, Sher Afzal Marwat, Abdul Qayyum Niazi, Rauf Hassan, Mashal Yousafzai, Nadia Khattak, Falak Naz Chitrali appeared in the court. The court extended the bails of Shoaib Shaheen, Ali Bukhari, Umair Niazi, Taimur Jhagra, Ali Zaman, Abdul Latif, and others.
On this occasion, applications for exemption from appearance were filed by PTI leaders Zartaj Gul, Alia Hamza, and Kanwal Shozab.
The court remarked that all the bail applications that have been received will be heard together and it also extended the bail of all PTI leaders and adjourned the hearing till May 5.
It is pertinent to note that cases have been registered against PTI leaders in Ramna, Secretariat, Tarnol, and Kohsar police stations for the November 26 protest.
