CPPA filed request for monthly fuel adjustment for February


Islamabad: Electricity price is likely to decrease by Rs0.30 per unit for consumers in terms of monthly fuel adjustment.
CPPA has filed a request for a monthly fuel adjustment for February. The NEPRA authority will hear the request tomorrow.
According to the request, 6.495 billion units of electricity were generated in February, while 6.666 billion units of electricity were supplied to power companies.
The cost per unit of electricity was Rs8.22 per unit, while the reference cost of electricity for February was set at Rs8.52 per unit.
In February, 27.12 percent of electricity was generated from hydro, 15.02 percent from local coal, 1.56 percent from imported coal, and 10.32 percent from gas.
14.11 percent of electricity was generated from imported LNG, and 26.59 percent of electricity was generated from nuclear fuel in February.
