ECP wrote that former members of assembly cannot participate in general, by-election, and Senate elections until they provide details


Islamabad: 10 former Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) have been disqualified for not submitting details of assets and returns for the year 2022-23 to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The Election Commission has disqualified 10 former MNAs, issuing a decision in the case related to non-submission of details of assets in 2022-23.
In the decision, seven former members of the Sindh and Balochistan assemblies have also been disqualified.
The Election Commission has written in the decision that former members of the assembly cannot participate in the general, by-election, and Senate elections until they provide the details. These members will remain disqualified until they provide Form B of the details of assets for the financial year 2022-23.
Former members of the National Assembly Khurram Dastgir Khan, Mohsin Nawaz Ranjha, Muhammad Adil, Rana Muhammad Ishaq Khan, Kamaluddin, and Ismatullah have been disqualified. Former MNAs Samina Matlab, Naseeba, Shamim Ara Panhor, and Rubina Irfan have also been disqualified.
The Election Commission has also disqualified former members of the Sindh Assembly Adeel Ahmed, Hizbullah Bhagio, Arsalan Taj Hussain, Arif Mustafa Jatoi, Imran Ali Shah, Ali Ghulam, and Tahira for not submitting the details of their returns.
Former members of the Balochistan Assembly Mir Sikandar Ali, Mir Muhammad Akbar, Sardar Yar Rind, Abdul Rashid, and Abdul Wahid Siddiqui have also been disqualified. Former members of the Balochistan Assembly Mir Hamal and Bibi Shahina have also been disqualified.
