New Delhi: After being passed by the Indian Lok Sabha, the controversial Waqf Amendment Bill has also been presented in the upper house, Rajya Sabha.
The Indian Lok Sabha had passed the controversial 'Waqf Amendment Bill' presented by the government yesterday, which was strongly opposed by Congress members.
According to the report, the controversial bill has now been presented in the Indian upper house, Rajya Sabha, where the support of 119 out of 236 members will be required for the approval of the bill.
On the other hand, after the Congress, the hardline Hindu organization Shiv Sena has also spoken out against the controversial Waqf Amendment Bill.
Shiv Sena member from Maharashtra in the upper house, Sanjay Raut, said that the Modi government is becoming as concerned about Muslims as even Muhammad Ali Jinnah might not have been.
The Shiv Sena MLA said that the BJP, which calls Muslims terrorists and traitors, their announcement of selling Muslim properties and getting Muslim girls married is nothing but a deception.
