Quake was minor and there was no danger to public in Saudi Arabia

(Web Desk): A magnitude 4 earthquake hit the Arabian Gulf, off Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, early on Friday.
The tremor, recorded by seismic stations, occurred 55 kilometers east of the city of Jubail. The earthquake was caused by stress from the movement of the Arabian tectonic plate colliding with the Eurasian plate.
Officials said the quake was minor and there was no danger to the public in Saudi Arabia.
On the same day, Indonesia experienced a 4.1 magnitude earthquake in the Southern Molucca Sea at 12:36 PM local time (GMT +8). There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, but local authorities are monitoring the situation.
Indonesia is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire, an area known for frequent earthquakes, and residents are being warned to stay alert for possible aftershocks.
