CM Punjab directed district administration to allocate land for convenience markets


Lahore: Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz has said that it has been approved to establish new convenience markets across the province.
She has ordered the early completion of the ongoing projects of 13 new convenience markets for which the deadline is August.
Maryam Nawaz has said that convenience markets will be established in Nowshera Virkan, Borewala, Kabirwala, Sangla, and Jalalpur, while it has also been decided to establish additional convenience markets in Bahawalpur, Attock, and Murree.
She has further said that the district administration has also been directed allocating land for convenience markets.
Maryam Nawaz also says that approval has been given to shift convenience markets to solar energy, and more than Rs690 million in funds have been approved for the shift to solar energy.
