Karachi: Private airlines, including national flag carrier PIA, have suddenly increased their domestic fares.

As Eid-ul-Adha approaches, commercial airlines including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have unexpectedly upraised their ticket prices.
Currently, the one-way fare from Karachi to Lahore and Islamabad has been set at Rs13,000.
In June 2021, the one-way minimum fare from Karachi to Islamabad and Lahore was Rs7,000.
As the demand has increased, the domestic airfares have almost doubled.
Likewise, the cost of a return ticket from and to Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad has been set at more than Rs25,000.
The hike has been witnessed nearly a month after Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced to reduce its fares for domestic flights by 40 per cent on June 12.
