Renowned singer Salman Ahmad booked under PECA Act
Ahmad has been accused of spreading propaganda against national security institutions and state on social media


Lahore: Police have booked famous Junoon band member and singer Salman Ahmad A under the PECA Act for violating social media laws.
The case was registered against Ahmad on charges of spreading propaganda against national security institutions and the state on social media.
According to the police, the case was registered at the Defence A Police Station in Lahore on the complaint of the police.
The FIR states that Salman Ahmad has 265,400 followers on the social media platform X, where he allegedly spread propaganda against national institutions.
The FIR further mentions that Salman Ahmad shared a hate-filled post on social media, which was personally witnessed by a police officer on duty.
