(Web Desk): Nearly 51 people were killed in an attack by unidentified armed men on two villages in Nigeria’s Plateau State.
According to media reports and the Red Cross in the capital Abuja, 22 people were injured in the attack, and five houses were set on fire.
Reports indicate that such violent incidents are common in Nigeria, often fueled by local community disputes.
The motive behind the attack is not yet known. A local resident, Joseph Chudo Yunka, stated that mass burials for the victims are currently underway. He added that the armed attackers were suspected to be cattle herders.
