Ban has been imposed from April 15 to June 14


Karachi: Illegal rickshaws have been banned on 11 main roads in Karachi.
A ban has been imposed on One Plus Two and One Plus Four motor cab rickshaws in Karachi for two months. This measure has been taken under 144 CrPC on the recommendation of DIG Traffic from April 15 to June 14, and action will be taken against those who violate it under 188 PPC.
According to the notification of Commissioner Karachi, all types of rickshaws will be banned on Shahra-e-Faisal and II Chandrigar Road.
The orders have been issued to stop rickshaws in Abdullah Shah Ghazi, Stadium Road, and other areas.
Commissioner Karachi says that the traffic police have been authorized to register complaints and take action. All the Station House Officers (SHOs) have been instructed to take strict action against violation of the ban.
The Karachi Commissioner further said that this decision has been taken to improve traffic flow and prevent accidents, and rickshaw drivers have been instructed to use alternative routes.
