WhatsApp's monthly user base exceeds 3 billion
WhatsApp is a key business for Meta

California: Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of technology company Meta, says that more than 3 billion users are now using WhatsApp every month.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg acquired WhatsApp in 2014 for $19 billion. By 2020, the number of monthly users of the app had reached 2 billion, but WhatsApp has now joined the apps with more than 3 billion monthly users.
During a recent conference call held by the Meta company, Mark Zuckerberg said that with such a large number of users, WhatsApp is a key business for Meta.
During the conference call, Meta's CFO, Susan Lee, said, ‘We see people engaging with Meta AI from many different entry points. Most WhatsApp users have been seen engaging with Meta AI in one-on-one chats’.
The statement issued by the company further said that along with the increasing number of users, WhatsApp's business is also growing, and the app generates a large portion of the company's $510 million profit.
