‘Rs1.55 per unit reduction will be applicable for the three months of May, June, and July 2025’


Islamabad: The government has reduced electricity prices through fuel adjustment and other mechanisms, and the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued a notification in this regard.
According to the notification issued by NEPRA, electricity prices have been reduced by a total of Rs1.83 per unit. This reduction has been made under the monthly and quarterly adjustment heads.
The notification states that electricity prices have been decreased by Rs0.28 per unit under monthly fuel adjustment and by Rs1.55 per unit on a quarterly basis. The Rs0.28 per unit reduction will apply for the current month.
As per NEPRA's notification, the Rs1.55 per unit reduction will be applicable for the three months of May, June, and July 2025.
