‘Purpose of the training is to prepare individuals to deal with unforeseen emergencies’

Lahore: In light of emergency situations, Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 is providing civil defense training across the province, said Secretary Emergency Services Dr. Rizwan Naseer.
Over the past 48 hours, more than 50,000 people have received training, Dr. Rizwan Naseer stated. The purpose of the training is to prepare individuals to deal with unforeseen emergencies, said Dr. Rizwan Naseer.
Students and members of the community were trained in life-saving techniques and emergency evacuation, he added.
The training includes first aid for bleeding control, CPR, and handling bone fractures and neck injuries, according to Dr. Rizwan Naseer.
The aim of conducting realistic drills is to instill a sense of safety among people during emergencies, Dr. Rizwan Naseer emphasized.
