Pakistan's response to India, US Secretary contacts with Pakistani political, military leadership

Washington: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke to Army Chief General Asim Munir and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar over the phone to discuss the current situation.

India launched attacks on 5 locations in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir on the night of May 6 and 7, to which Pakistani forces responded befittingly. Despite repeated warnings from Pakistan, India continued its aggression and tried to target Pakistani air bases with missile attacks after the drone attacks.

Pakistan responded strongly to India by destroying several airfields, including Udhampur, Adampur, and Pathankot airbases. It completely disrupted the electricity system by conducting a cyber-attack on the electric company of the Indian state of Maharashtra, and also jammed a military satellite. In addition, Pakistani drones were flying for several hours in the state of Gujarat, ruled by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Pakistan also destroyed India's Bathinda airfield.

Now there are reports that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has contacted Army Chief General Asim Munir and offered constructive cooperation in the current situation.

In addition, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also contacted Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and asked India to exercise restraint in the current tension.

It is also reported that Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar told his US counterpart that if India stops here, Pakistan is ready to resolve the issue, but if India does not stop, Pakistan will respond even more forcefully.

On the other hand, the US is also in contact with India. Marco Rubio had contacted his Indian counterpart, Jaishankar, two days ago, but despite this, India attacked.

The other day, US Vice President JD Vance, while talking to the media, said that the US has nothing to do with the India-Pakistan war, and that the US will not interfere in this war.
