Punjab schools to reopen tomorrow after ceasefire between Pakistan and India
Academic activities in schools across the province will resume as normal from tomorrow

Lahore: All educational institutions across Punjab, which were closed due to Pakistan-India tensions, will reopen from tomorrow.
India launched cowardly night-time attacks between May 6 and 7, targeting civilian areas in Azad Kashmir — including Kotli, Muzaffarabad, and Bagh — as well as in Punjab's Muridke and Ahmedpur Sharqia. The attacks resulted in the destruction of two mosques and the martyrdom of 31 Pakistanis, including two children, while 51 others were injured.
Due to the tense situation, educational activities in schools across Punjab were suspended on May 9 and 10. However, following the ceasefire, all schools in Punjab will reopen from tomorrow.
An official notification has also been issued, stating that academic activities in schools across the province will resume as normal from tomorrow.
It is worth mentioning that after India’s cowardly attacks under the cover of darkness, Pakistan gave a strong and effective response. Pakistan shot down three Rafale jets, one MiG-29, one SU-30 aircraft, and a combat drone involved in the aggression.
In retaliation to the Indian aggression, Pakistan launched a powerful response early on May 10 under Operation Bunyān Mursūs (“Iron Wall”), successfully targeting over 10 sites inside India. During the operation, Pakistan destroyed India's S-400 air defense system along with several airfields, including those in Adampur and Udhampur.
