Prime Minister Shehbaz is also scheduled to visit air bases and naval bases in the coming days

(Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the frontline areas of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos on Wednesday to show support for Pakistan’s armed forces and commend their efforts in defending the country’s sovereignty during the recent military conflict with India.
The operation, launched on May 10 under the broader campaign Marka-e-Haq (Battle for Truth), saw Pakistan targeting several Indian military installations. These included the destruction of BrahMos missile storage sites in Beas and Nagrota, as well as the neutralization of S-400 air defence systems in Adampur and Bhuj by the Pakistan Air Force.
During his visit to Pasrur Cantonment near Sialkot, PM Shehbaz was joined by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal and Attaullah Tarar, the Corps Commander Sialkot, and other senior civil and military officials.

The prime minister received a detailed briefing on the progress of the operation and the operational readiness of the deployed forces, according to a statement by the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Praising the armed forces, the Prime Minister said, “The brave defenders of Pakistan, with the full support of the nation, heroically protected the motherland and responded to enemy aggression with strength and accuracy.” He added that Pakistan's quick and precise response to India’s unprovoked actions would be remembered in history.
While meeting with officers and soldiers at the frontlines, PM Shehbaz praised their strong morale, high professionalism, and constant readiness. He said, “Pakistan is proud of its courageous soldiers—they are the pride of the nation.”

He strongly condemned the killing of innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, during India’s attacks, calling the actions shameful and a clear violation of international laws and moral standards.

The Prime Minister also criticised India for rejecting Pakistan’s call for an impartial investigation into the recent conflict. He said India ignored the opportunity for accountability because it had no evidence to support its claims. “India acted on arrogance and false accusations—and has now received an appropriate response,” he said.
PM Shehbaz concluded his visit by paying tribute to the martyrs, saying, “Our nation will always remember and honour the sacrifices of its heroes.” He also announced plans to visit air and naval bases in the coming days to meet more military personnel and show continued support for all branches of the armed forces.
