TikTok announces new features to support users’ mental health
Purpose of these features is to improve users’ sleep quality

(Web Desk): TikTok has announced the introduction of new features aimed at improving users’ mental health.
In a blog post, the company stated that it is rolling out features focused on meditation exercises and personal development, specifically targeting younger users. According to TikTok, these meditation-related exercises were tested earlier this year among a limited group of users and are now being made available to users of all ages.
The purpose of these features is to improve users’ sleep quality, and they will be activated during nighttime hours. For users under the age of 18, this feature will be turned on by default.
If such younger users are active on TikTok’s "For You" feed after 10 PM, they will receive a prompt encouraging them to engage in meditation exercises. If they continue using the app, a second full-screen prompt will appear.
To support this initiative, the company is also collaborating with a meditation app.
In addition, TikTok is introducing a new educational feed, enhanced online safety tools, and increased parental controls over screen time.
