(Web Desk): The duration of load-shedding in various parts of Karachi has reached up to 14 hours. In many areas of the city, electricity remains unavailable for 12 to 14 hours a day.
Extended power outages are ongoing in areas such as Lyari, Korangi, Landhi, New Karachi, North Karachi, Surjani, Nazimabad, Malir, Quaidabad, and different blocks of the FB Area.
In addition, long hours of load-shedding are also being experienced in Model Colony, Jahangir Road, PIB Colony, Machar Colony, Railway Colony, Mauripur, and Hawks Bay.
On the other hand, a spokesperson for K-Electric stated that the power supply in Karachi is running normally. According to them, 70% of the electricity network is exempt from load-shedding. However, the remaining 30% of areas face issues of electricity theft and non-payment of bills, and load-shedding is carried out in these areas accordingly.
