Rawalpindi: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir expressed his gratitude to Allah for being honored with the title of Field Marshal.
According to the ISPR, in a statement, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that he dedicates this honor to the entire nation, the Pakistan Armed Forces, and especially to the civilian and military martyrs and veterans.
Field Marshal Asim Munir stated that this honor is a trust of the nation, and for this cause, millions of Asim Munirs are ready to sacrifice.
He also expressed his gratitude to the President of Pakistan, Prime Minister, and the cabinet for their trust, emphasizing that this is not just an individual honor but one for the Pakistan Armed Forces and the entire nation.
According to the ISPR, Field Marshal Asim Munir thanked the nation for their support.
It is noteworthy that the federal government has approved the promotion of Army Chief General Asim Munir to the rank of Field Marshal. Key decisions were made during a meeting of the federal cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. According to the official statement, the cabinet approved the promotion of General Syed Asim Munir (Nishan-e-Imtiaz Military) to the rank of Field Marshal.
The promotion was granted to General Asim Munir for his strategic leadership during Operation Baniyan Marsous and for delivering a decisive victory over the enemy.
