State Department spokesperson says this is a golden opportunity for both nations to move forward toward lasting peace

Washington: US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce has stated that the de-escalation of ongoing tensions and the ceasefire between Pakistan and India can be credited to US involvement and support, and that a new opportunity has emerged to resolve the longstanding disputes between the two countries.
Speaking at a press briefing in Washington, the spokesperson said that although such disputes have remained unresolved many times in the past, there now appears to be a new ray of hope. She remarked that this is a golden opportunity for both nations to move forward toward lasting peace.
Tammy Bruce emphasized that it is encouraging to see both Pakistan and India committed and serious about maintaining the ceasefire.
