Field Marshal Asim Munir hosts luncheon in honour military officers, political leaders
President Zardari and PM Shehbaz also attend luncheon

Islamabad: Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir hosted a luncheon in honor of political and military leadership.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, the Chairman Senate, Speaker National Assembly, Federal Ministers, Governors, Chief Ministers, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chiefs of Air and Naval Staff, senior leadership of major political parties, high-ranking government officials and senior officers from the three armed services graced the gathering with their presence.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the event included participation from political leaders as well as Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, service chiefs, and other senior military officials.
The ISPR spokesperson stated that Field Marshal Asim Munir appreciated the foresight of the political leadership in the battle for truth. He also praised the role played by Pakistan’s youth and media in countering misinformation.
Participants at the dinner lauded the sacrifices and bravery of the armed forces, while the Field Marshal commended the well-established coordination within the armed forces.
Field Marshal Asim Munir also acknowledged the commendable contributions of Pakistani scientists, engineers, and diplomats on the occasion.
The participants paid tribute to the sagacious leadership that steered the nation through a defining moment.
They hailed the courage and sacrifices of the Armed Forces, and commended the resolute patriotism of the Pakistani people.
In his remarks on the occasion, the Chief of Army Staff expressed profound gratitude to the political leadership for their strategic foresight during Marka-e-Haq, and lauded the seamless inter-services coordination that ensured success in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.
Terming the Pakistani youth and media a 'steel wall' against malicious Indian propaganda, the Chief of Army Staff acknowledged their unwavering role in countering India's disinformation campaign.
The Chief of Army Staff also commended the outstanding contributions of Pakistani scientists, engineers, and diplomats, whose professionalism and resolve proved critical during the conflict.
The evening stood as a powerful affirmation of national unity and the collective resolve to advance with renewed strength and cohesion.
