‘Citizens will be able to purchase meat, fish, and other food items in accordance with global hygiene standards’


(Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has fulfilled her promise to establish a world-class "meat market" in Lahore.
According to the report, Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb visited the historic Tollinton Market, where Punjab’s first international-standard meat market is being developed, and set a deadline of June 30 for the completion of construction work.
Citizens will be able to purchase meat, fish, and other food items in accordance with global hygiene standards.
The adjacent open sewage drain has been covered to eliminate foul odors, and the market has been transformed with aesthetically designed shops. Residents expressed pleasant surprise and delight at the market's upgraded appearance.
With the installation of tough tiles, removal of unnecessary overhead wires, and introduction of modern infrastructure, visiting citizens praised Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for the improvements.
The newly installed sewerage, drainage, and exhaust systems in Tollinton Market have now become operational.
