Earlier, Pakistan's Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Javed Miandad, Abdul Qadir, Zaheer Abbas, Waqar Younis, and Hanif Muhammad have become part of the Hall of Fame.
On this occasion, Sana Mir said that it has been a long journey to reach here by playing cricket on the streets of Pakistan, and being inducted into the Hall of Fame is an emotional opportunity for her.
Sana Mir said that there was a time when the number of women players in Pakistan was not complete. We did not have women cricketers as role models and today there are such a large number of women cricketers who are an example for everyone.
It is pertinent to note that Sana started her one-day cricket career in December 2005 against Sri Lanka in Karachi, while her last one-day match was played against Bangladesh in November 2019 in Lahore.
Sana Mir played 226 international matches in her career, during which she captained the Pakistan Women's Cricket Team in 137 international matches from 2009 to 2017.
She took 151 wickets in 120 One Day Internationals and scored 1630 runs.
