Sacrifice on Eid this year was 1.62 percent more than before


Islamabad: The number of animals sacrificed on Eid-ul-Adha in Pakistan has been revealed.
The Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) has released the sacrifice figures, according to which 7.418 million animals were sacrificed in the country on Eid.
According to the Pakistan Tanners Association, the sacrifice on Eid this year was 1.62 percent more, with cow sacrifices increasing by 6.4 percent to 3,027,417.
According to the PTA, buffalo sacrifices increased by 1.6 percent to 2,87,946, while goat sacrifices decreased by 0.8 percent to 3,581,767.
In addition, sheep sacrifices decreased by 8 percent to 4,54,231, and camel sacrifices decreased by 1.62 percent to 67,245.
According to the Pakistan Tanners Association, the estimated value of sacrificial animal skins is Rs6.5 billion, with the average price of cow skins being Rs1,775, buffalo skins being Rs1,680, and goat skins being Rs446.
The average price of camel skins was Rs578, and the average price of sheep skins was Rs47.
