The stock of US-made Pfizer vaccine has been depleted in all parts of Punjab including Lahore while the second batch of shots has not arrived yet.

Sources in the Punjab Health Department said that the first dose of Pfizer vaccine was being administered in four districts of Punjab till July 15 but in the past three days, the new batch of shot could not be received by the relevant authorities.
The Punjab Health Department said that the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine was to be given after 21 days.
Those who need to be given the second dose are exhausted from visiting vaccination centres.
On the other hand, the citizens who came for getting the Pfizer jab say that their visa is expiring while they do not know when the vaccine will be available and when they could get it.
Pakistan has also signed an agreement with Pfizer-BioNTech for supplying 13 million doses of the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine.
The agreement has been signed between Pfizer Pakistan and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). Under the contract, Pakistan will receive 13 million doses of US vaccines.
While the exact timeline has not been disclosed yet.
The first shipment of the Pfizer vaccine is likely to arrive in July while the remaining would be provided by the end of 2021.
Reportedly, Pfizer and BioNTech have set a target of producing more than three billion doses of the COVID vaccine globally by the end of this year.
In Pakistan, citizens above 18 are entitled to get a free coronavirus vaccine.
Pakistan has received 100,000 doses of the mRNA in May under the COVAX facility.
