Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband Sanjay Kapoor passes away at 53
He had a heart attack during a polo match


London: Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband and renowned Indian industrialist Sanjay Kapoor passed away suddenly at the age of 53.
According to Indian media reports, Sanjay Kapoor suddenly collapsed while playing polo at the Guards Polo Club in the suburbs of London. He was provided immediate medical assistance, but he could not survive.
The report states that he had a heart attack during a polo match.
Sanjay Kapoor was the chairman of the automobile company 'Sona Comstar', which is considered a leading global auto parts supplier.
He was a highly educated person who studied at MIT and Harvard Business School.
Sanjay Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor were married in 2003, but they divorced in 2016 due to mutual differences. They have two children, daughter Sameera and son Kayan.
A few hours before his death, Sanjay Kapoor had expressed his condolences on social media over the plane crash that took place in Ahmedabad, the post of which is rapidly going viral on social media.
Deep sorrow and shock are being expressed in the Indian film industry and business circles over the sudden death of Sanjay Kapoor.
Many close relatives and friends, including Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and Malaika Arora, have reached Karisma Kapoor's house to offer their condolences.
Sanjay Kapoor's last rites are likely to be performed in London; however, no official announcement has been made by the family in this regard yet.
